Patient Manager - Suzanne

Hi, my name is Suzanne. My adventures in orthodontics began in July 1986.  I began working for Dr. Sidney Smith and worked with him for 11 years until he retired.  I then met Dr. Alan Jones and helped assist in the transition of the two practices with my co-workers. I have worked with Jo Donna, our appointment coordinator since 1987. I have been with Dr. Jones since Jan. 1997.

The part of my job that gives me the most satisfaction is when I meet a new patient and place the appliances; I already know how proud they are going to be of their smile in a short period of time.  There may be discomfort along the way, but the end result is well worth the pain. It is a good day when I feel I have informed the patient and/or the parents of the progression of their treatment and that they leave happy.  It is a bad day when a patient has to return due to a sticking wire because it means an extra trip back to the office for them.  I really enjoy my job and the friendships made with my coworkers. It's a great feeling at the end of the day to know that you have helped create better smiles to people of all ages.

My family consists of my husband David, with whom I have been married since l988.  We have two children, Allison, and Jacob.  We have a West Highland Terrier named Isabella.

Our family's favorite vacation spot is the beach.  We visit Gulf Shores, Pensacola, Panama City Beach, and just about any other beach in the south that has a challenging golf course for my husband to play.

In my spare time I enjoy scrapbooking albums of my children and interior decorating.  When I can, browsing antique malls is a fun pastime.
