| Generally in cold weather, our office will open/close based on the
activity of the HUNTSVILLE CITY SCHOOL SYSTEM. But, since
there are some exceptions, read below. WHAT IF THE SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED BECAUSE OF VERY COLD WEATHER? Sometimes road conditions are fine, but the Huntsville City School System decides to close due to having students waiting in the out of doors in extremely cold weather.
In this case, since the roads are fine, we will be open at 8am.
WHAT IF THE CITY SCHOOLS OPEN LATE BECAUSE OF ROAD CONDITIONS? They may open
schools at either 9 or 10 am. In that case, we'll open when they do.
WHAT IF THE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM CLOSES DUE TO POOR ROADS? We use Huntsville City Schools' system assessment of in-city roads to decide to close. Make your best judgment about traveling in for your appointment. Many of our staff lives in the county and neighboring counties, so that is something they will have to contend with. The good news is that going carefully, not starting or stopping suddenly and not following the car ahead of you very closely will usually be good information that will allow you to travel.
